Quick answers about getting there, timing, the park and booking.
Common questions
Planning your safari
How many days do I need in Amboseli?
One day is possible from Nairobi. Two days gives you a dawn game drive. Three days gives you a full day in the park and two dawns for Kilimanjaro.
When is the best time to go?
January to February and June to October are the driest and clearest. March to May is the long rains season. November and December bring short rains and green landscapes. See the best time guide.
Will I see Kilimanjaro?
Often, but it is never guaranteed. Dawn gives the clearest views. Mountain weather changes fast, so a longer stay helps.
Can I combine Amboseli with other parks?
Yes. Popular combinations are Tsavo West and the Masai Mara. Ask us about custom routes.
Is Amboseli suitable for children?
Yes. See our family safari for child-friendly pacing.
